Surfing For Physics Formulas For Velocity?

James asks…Physics formulas?where do the followng formulas come from? (using the definitions for velocity and acceleration)
(i) s = 1/2 at^2
(ii) Xf = Xi + V0T+1/2at^2
(iii) Xf=Xi + Vi(Tf-Ti) + 1/2 a0 (Tf-Ti)^2
(iv) Xf = Xi + Vf(Tf-Ti)-1/2 a0 (Tf-Ti)^2

I don't know where the 1/2 came from in part (i) and without that part, I can't do the rest of them problem!Nancy answers:Here's an explanation for the factor of 1/2 in part (i):

Starting from rest, the initial speed is 0.
