Carol asks…How much should a 14 year old lift?I'm a 14 year old guy and I'm starting to lift weights. I know the exercises I'm going to do, but I don't know how much I should lift. Any ideas or past experience? Thanks!Nancy answers:When i was 13 i lifted only 5kg dumbbells to focus on strength and endurance rather than size, and gradually increased the weight to 10kg at 14 and a half, this gradually builds the muscle and gives good definition without deformities.
