Surfing For Curves Helped Me?

Helen asks…Find the volume of the solid obtained by rotating the region bounded by the given curves?Find the volume of the solid obtained by rotating the region bounded by the given curves about the specified line: y=x^4, y=1 about y=2

Help me please!Nancy answers:Using the washer method,
the solid would have inner radius (2 - 1) = 1
and
the solid would have outer radius (2 - x^4)

Area of a cross section A(x) = (pi)(outer radius)^2 - (pi)(inner radius)^2

Volume = ∫ A(x) dx . . . . . . .
