Mark asks…Ideal Gas Law Question? How many air molecules are in a 1560ft^3 room? Assume atmospheric pressure of 1.00atm , a room temperature of 20.0C , and ideal behavior. There are 28.2 liters in one cubic foot.
----------
At one point I obtain 1830 moles of air. How is this number derived?
Your help is greatly appreciated.Nancy answers:Due to the R value in the PV = nRT equation, you need to obtain the volume in liters.
So, 1560 x 28.2 = 43,992 Liters of air in the room.
