Surfing For Reaction Distance Car?

Chris asks…Stopping distance - physics?Determine the stopping distances for a car with an initial speed of 93 km/h and human reaction time of 2.0 s for the following accelerations.

(a) a = -4.0 m/s2

(b) a = -8.0 m/s2Nancy answers:S = u * t + 1/2 a * t^2
S = distance
u = initial velocity
t = time
a = acceleration ..... You have it -ve i.e., deceleration
here put the unknowns you will end up with solution (take care of units, bring in one system)....... :)Susan
