Surfing For Agcl Is It Aqueous?

Jenny asks…the weight of pure, dry AgCl obtained is?all of the chloride ion in 1.0 mol of MgCl2 is precipitated from aqueous solution as AgCl. So.. the weight of pure dry AgCl is?

please explain so i can understand how to do it. thanks
don't give me the answer. thank you.Nancy answers:First balanced equation

MgCl2 + 2Ag+ = 2AgCl + Mg2+

So one mole of MgCl2 produces 2 moles AgCl2

Mass of the AgCl = moles * MW
= 2 *(108+35.5)
= 287g
= 290g using correct number of significant
