Surfing For After Starting The Engine?

Mark asks…Trouble starting engine after a cold night?After a very cold night (~10F), I would try to start my car the next morning. I would turn the key and the starter would crank normally like any other day and the engine would fire up, but when i release the key, the rpm drops, engine sputters, then dies. If i turn the key and hold it in the cranking position for roughly 2-3 seconds after the engine fires up, everything seems to be fine.
OK, lets see I have an '01 VW Jetta 1.8t engine
