Sharon asks…2 new tires; front or back?I have a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse (front wheel drive) and I need two new tires. Last time I was at a tire shop they told me the new spec is to install new tires on the back of a car instead of in the front. He said there was a big lawsuit and it was decided you should have better traction on the rear tires (regardless of front or rear wheel drive) because if the rear tires lose traction you can't steer them to get traction again.
